John Clayton Lee is an American photographer and filmmaker from Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for filmmaking. He currently works as a freelance portrait photographer and filmmaker and lives in the Pacific Northwest. Documenting landscapes, brief encounters, and fringe spaces, Lee’s work frames passing views with a selective memory, often muting wider context to promote lyricism in the everyday.
