//SAMMY SLABBINCK

German collage artist Sammy Slabbinck comes from a family of artists, he didn't study art, but tried art history for a while. Dropped out, pushed away from the arts. Still, creativity and penchant for aesthetics comes very natural to him, no school could replace that.
He set up his own postcard company which leads him into making collage art. Always on the look out for nice images made him combine images he likes, his first collage was born.
The materials he uses are vintage magazines, which he has been collecting for years. His collages are fun and sometimes a political satire takes place, Sammy gets inspired by the female form. He transforms pictures that are lacking of style into a sculpture in a right setting. I find his work very inspiring, I hope you do too.
