Annemarieke van Drimmelen is a Dutch photographer. She lives and works in London, New York and Amsterdam. Her work is a quest to portray real intimacy, a imagination of closeness. With posture and composition, she teases subtleties of personality that reveal authenticity in the moment. Her images unite fashion photography with portraiture. That combined with her unaffected warmth creates an uncommon level of trust with her subjects. Annemarieke captures strength and vulnerability. I really like Annemarieke’s work because of it’s sensibility. She had many models in front of her camera, but the images made of Saskia de Brauw are my favorite. Through my eyes they are a match made in heaven.
