//MELANIE MATRANGA

This week we’d like to introduce you to Mélanie Matranga. Matranga is a Paris based artist who work varies from drawing, installation, sculpture and animation. Through her works she questions the emotional value of our production economy. Mélanie Matranga combines signs that reflect upon interiority with elements linked to social attitudes and habits. These combinations create a place where the singular is expressed by the common, and where intimateness is uncovered, exposed. They are places to be lonely with others.

Melanie’s works questions the relationships we have, relationships to the world, to others, to ideas. Which allow us to build a society.

‘I like to think that objects are like language in a way. We all use words, but from one person to another, the meaning of these words change slightly and holds our own uniqueness.’
