//WEEKLY ART REPORT

Mark Cohen is a street photographer from a small town called Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. He is known by his hit-and-run photography, he walks around in city chasing random people for the best photo. Seeing him working is quite entertaining. Honestly I wouldn’t know how I would react if some strange old guy jumps in front of me with his flash and classic Leica, just to frame one aspect of me. More striking and serious is the exposition of his work in the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam. His quick snapshots share an insight view of not necessarily the richest and beautiful people of America. You could say decay is one of his themes, most of the photos portray something that’s broken or tore apart.. When you look at the photos you can’t help but make up stories with it. And the longer you look at the image the more insanely cool it becomes how the photo actually came about. Mark Cohens energy and eye for detail is something we can all be jealous of, thinking this man is nearly 80.
