//THE GROWING LAB

The Growing Lab is a project that researches the design possibilities of micro-organisms, offering an urgent sustainable alternative of the hugely wasteful plastic. The Growing Lab proposes a radical new way of thinking about the products we use in our everyday life and what materials they are made of. The materials are made of bio-polymers, which are produced from biomass, coming from crops such as sugar beet, potatoes or wheat. In contrary to plastic, bio-polymers are always renewable, because they are made from plant materials which can be grown indefinitely.
