//STUDIO MK27

Studio MK27 is founded by the Brazilian architect Marci Kogan in 2001. Kogan graduated from the School of Architecture and Urbanism at the University Presbiterian Mackenzie in 1976. With studio MK27, he has projects all over the world and since 2001 Studio MK27 has won more than 200 Brazilian and international awards, as IAB-BR, WAF, Architectural Review, Dédalo Minosse, Record House, LEAF, D&AD, Sparks, Barbara Capochin, Icônico, AZ and Wallpaper Design Award. Kogan was selected to be an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architecture (AIA), for the entirety of his work, in a ceremony realized in New Orleans. In 2012, Studio MK27 represented Brazil in the Venice Biennale of Architecture.

The projects of Marci Kogan can be easily recognized by their sense of style and shape. Simplicity is an important subject, just as strong relations between the internal and external. This last point probably explains why he is such a fan of raw materials such as concrete, stone and wood. In his projects ther is almost always a reference to Brazilian modern architecture.

The results of every project are astonishing. Every detail is forseen, together with nature's work such as incoming sunlight being part of every design. Well, please sign me up for a house like that, preferably with one of those relaxing pools.
