This week, we've discussed the inspirational works of Jonas Wood - an LA artist who is currently presenting his work in Museum Voorlinden in The Netherlands. Now, I'd like to focus on the works of Shio Kusaka: Woods lifepartner and ceramic artist. Her work was also presented in the collaborating exhibition at Voorlinden. It was beautiful to see how the two different artist have such a different style and dicipline when it comes to their art, but it fits perfectly and almost feels like an important addition to one another. 

Kusaka is a master in ceramics and shows us objects and vases in different sizes and styles. She has a fine sense for colour and has the perfect way to combine aestetics and humor - something that is also to be seen in the work of Jonas Wood. She experiments with surfaces, grids, illustrations and texture to make a suitable object.
