If you’ve ever had a rough time in your love life, or navigating through the obstacle course that is Tinder, you can probably relate to the honest approach to dating and relationships of photographer Peyton Fulford.
The Georgia-based photographer created the series “Abandoned Love”, based on private thoughts, diary entries and text messages that people sent her via Tumblr. She transformed the words into banners and placed them in front of abandoned buildings. With this project, Fulford wanted to materialize a private moment by sharing it publicly. She thinks it is interesting to transform the intangibility of the Internet into a tangible creation that is viewable not only online but also in the real world. Love hurts.
