It’s yellow, crooked, starts with a B, but it’s not a banana. What is it? It’s a sculpture, Bird in Space, made by Constantin Brancusi, a Romanian artist who is best known for his striking sculptures. Many see him as pioneer of modern art, taking the first steps in the beginning of the twentieth century to an abstracted universe. The sculpture is based on the Maiastra from Romanian folklore, a beautiful golden bird who can foresee the future and cure the blind.
