Meinke Klein is an artistic duo specialised in fashion photography. Meinke ten Have and Kees de Klein studied fine arts and graphic design at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts and show us how their different backgrounds can result in unique work.
The two have been published in well known fashion magazines all over the world and are represented by Unit agency in Amsterdam, but the duo stayed rather normal; which is great. A couple of months ago I attended a reading in Het Nieuwe Instituut (The New Institute) in Rotterdam, where Meinke and Kees talked about their work, inspiration and way of working. They gave so much information by being informal and bringing us inside their mailbox and printscreens of the communication between them and the principals - which was all about capslock, exclamation marks, jokes, funny pictures of ferrets and full throttle enthousiasm. A lovely thing to get an insight in!
