At first, looking at the endless passing days of the English upperclass in the 10s and 20s seemed quite boring, but the opposite was actually happening for me. 

Downton Abbey own a perfect stylist together with a set dresser, that actually make the story already. Looking at Lady's and Dutchesses drinking tea in the library while gosseping about other Lady's and Dutchesses actually makes sense; I mean, why should you dress yourself when you have a Lady's maid and a cook that makes everything you eat the way and time you like.
