//HET NIEUWE INSTITUUT

Just two weeks ago, Het Nieuwe Instituut (The New Institute) in Rotterdam completely transformed for their new exhibition.

The institute is always really well represented when it comes to architecture and design, which is at the same time the image it is having. Having the official archive of all the architectural documents and books from the Netherlands and being an imposing building makes it altogether receiving the stamp of architecture museum.

Since the museum is representing fashion as well, it wanted to give it a special place and make an explosive appearance with a fashion exhibition. For half a year the entire building is full on fashion and totally transformed to create this new world and first and only fashion museum of the Netherlands.

The beauty we enter at the opening of the HNI is fulfilling and to be seen at 360 degrees around us. Especially the exhibition on the main floor is one we can stay in for the entire night: private collections of vintage couture. Sequins, colors and prints everywhere; it was like a true candy store. To be precise; it is a candy store, an eye candy fashion store with items of Fong Leng, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior etc. Looking extravagant and unique is a hand reach away and gives the exhibition an extra layer.

 The entire museum is filled with fashion and everything that has to go with it. It will be there until the 8th of May and is definitely worth the visit!
