Eylül Aslan is born and raised in Istanbul, based in Berlin. She's only 24 years old and makes beautiful photographs.

Her work aims to challenge the political and religious oppression of women that is still present in many modern societies. Embracing female sensuality and sexuality traditionally considered taboo in these societies. The images have certain simplicity, playfulness. Presenting both a need to remain veiled and a yearning for self-expression.

Aslan's work is in a phase of development and to experiment. She works with natural light, pastel colours, paleness, textures and contradictions, which give her images freedom, flexibility and endurance. Aesthetic perfection combined with the absurd. These are the ingredients of the fascinating photographs of Eylül Aslan.
