//WHAT PRADA DID IN 88
My love for Prada is huge, my love for Miuccia Prada is even bigger.
In 1978 she entered into her family’s business of manufacturing luxury leather bags, a company established by her grandfather in 1913. She first dazzled the fashion world in 1985 with a series of black nylon handbags and backpacks. Four years later, Miuccia, introduced a line of ready-to-wear women's clothes that she called "uniforms for the slightly disenfranchised." Critics and consumers ate it up. Looking at it now it still blows my mind. The looks are so strong, clean, simple and timeless. If I was an adult in the eighties, I would have invested in some of these beautiful uniform pieces. Thanks Miuccia for reinventing Prada and for all the beauty that followed.
