Aruba seems to be the island of eternal summer. White sandy beaches, everglowing sunlight, palmtrees, cacti, a clear blue ocean and the most beautiful shells just lying in the sand. The island is presented as the perfect getaway for the Americans, Europeans and Latin American people. Then the Dutch in particular visit the country to spend time with their families who live there and did not move to the Netherlands. 

The country is full of contradictions and surprises. Beautiful colours are being combined in clear but dusty colour palettes, showing the passing of time and the distances between cultures but also the reaching out to traditions that seem to change. Aruba is there to show beauty in all its naivity, celebrating life as only she can do.
